About the Therapist
I am Becky Harman, owner of Dog’s Life Canine Massage. I cover Hertfordshire, Essex and Greater London (East and South) I was introduced to Canine Massage Therapy through a friend of a friend who had also become a qualified therapist through the Canine Massage Therapy Centre.
I have grown up with dogs, and it was my love of them that developed my desire to work with dogs in the future. I have worked with rescue dogs, but wanted specific training so that I could specialise in a skill that would have a direct positive impact on dogs of all different breeds, shapes and sizes. It was when I was informed of the Canine Therapeutic Massage Diploma that I knew what my calling in life was.
After 2 years and 800 hours of intensive work and training I qualified as a Canine Massage Therapist. This amazing course gave me a strong grounding in 4 disciplines of massage – Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release – as well as canine physiology, palpation skills, rehabilitation of Muscular and Soft Tissue injuries, management of Orthopaedic issues and pain management.
As a member of the Guild I am required to continue my training, which ensures I provide as effective and knowledgeable service as possible.
