About the Therapist
I'm Judith, and I run Corinium Canines. I'm based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire and offer treatment sessions from here, or within a 10 mile radius. I can also travel further, at cost.
I have lived with dogs since childhood and have in the past competed in Agility, Flyball, Heelwork to Music and Disc. I have also been a dog groomer for over 12 years.
I was introduced to Canine Massage when I won a therapy session for one of my own dogs, and was fascinated by the effect it had on her, and wanted to find out more, so attended a workshop. I already held a belief that there is a place for complementary therapies to sit comfortably beside conventional treatments and found that Canine Massage fulfilled those beliefs, so applied to train as a Canine Massage Practitioner.
The intensive two year course that The Canine Massage Guild offers covers a thorough grounding in canine anatomy and physiology and in 4 disciplines of massage - Swedish, Sports, Myofascial release and Deep Tissue release, along with advanced palpation skills, to identify and treat muscular issues, whether as a result of injury, surgery or ageing. All Guild members also commit to ongoing training to ensure that our skills are updated and extended.
I currently live with six assorted dogs, all rescue, two of which are deaf, another passion of mine. I also have experience of blind dogs, and dogs with epilepsy, auto-immune diseases and multiple allergies. In my spare time I am involved in Rescue and The Deaf Dog Network.
