About the Therapist

My name is Kirsty Duncan and I run Catalyst Canine Massage Therapy, I specialise in the rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries and support a range of orthopaedic conditions in dogs. I work with the complete age range of dogs from young to senior with symptoms such as lameness, posture or gait irregularities, drop in performance (agility, flyball etc), as well as dogs that struggle with daily activities such as getting in and out of the car and have lost their zest for life/walks/games.

I have always loved animals and my dog Ellie has problems with her behaviour, she shows obsessive compulsive behaviours such as chasing shadows or reflections. This was obviously distressing for her but she could not help herself but to lunge across the room and jab at the wall or floor with her face or paws.

She is the reason behind me wanting to learn clinical canine massage therapy, it has helped with her anxiety issues and she is much less likely to chase after the shadows or reflections now. As it helped her I started thinking about how massage therapy could help many other dogs with many other problems and had a lightbulb moment. I feel very privileged to be able to work with so many lovely dogs.

Costs

Sessions are charged £35 provided you are within 15 miles of Bracknell, further than 15 miles may incur a small fuel charge agreeable at the time of booking.

Testimonials

I have a two and a half year old Patterdale Poodle cross who has a luxating patella. Kirsty was professional, punctual, kind and patient.  After treatment the condition showed a significant amount of improvement which I was extremely pleased with. I would highly recommend Kirsty and will use her again.

Sally, Maidenhead

I would not hesitate to recommend Kirsty. She is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable and puts both owner and dogs at ease.

Iain (KCAI (Ag*RC)), Loudwater

I have a 6 year old Toy poodle, Boysie, with lumbro sacral problems. Kirsty was very calm and patient with Boysie recognising which parts of the massage he didn’t find comfortable and would change her treatment to accommodate him. Kirsty is very knowledgeable and talked me through everything she was doing to treat him. Boysie is a lot more comfortable since his treatment.
I highly recommend Kirsty.
