Equilibrium Canine Massage Therapy
About the Therapist
Hello, my name is Tracy Oliver and I run Equilibrium Canine Massage Therapy. I have lived and had a keen interest in dogs all my life, currently sharing my home with 2 lurchers, one of which is blind. I compete in canicross with one of my dogs and both take part in agility for fun.
I specialise in using the four disciplines of massage, Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release to help rehabilitate dogs with muscular and other soft tissue issues and support those with orthopaedic conditions.
I come from a sporting background, being a keen runner and am also a qualified personal trainer. Through personal experience I know the toll an active lifestyle can take on the body and fully recognise the benefits and relief I gain from massage therapy. Dogs are athletic by nature and can suffer sprains, strains and injuries in the same way we can.
Massage can benefit your dog by promoting the relaxation of tight inflexible muscles and improving their natural range of motion, helping to prevent soft tissue injuries occurring in the first place. As a rehabilitation tool it acts as natural pain relief and helps to break down and realign scar tissue. It can aid dogs recovering from surgery as well as those suffering orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis or hip/elbow dysplasia.
I provide affordable treatment tailor made to the needs of each individual client in the safety and comfort of their own home and would expect to see results within 1 to 3 sessions.
My Fees are £35 for the initial consultation of 1.5 hours which will include taking a full history, gait analysis, palpation and full massage. Thereafter I charge £30 per treatment of around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Visits outside a 15 mile radius of my home location may incur a small travel cost agreeable at the time of booking.
