About the Therapist
Hello! My name is Charlotte and I run a clinic in Shepshed (Leicestershire), as well as working with clients in their own homes. I completed the two year Clinical Canine Massage Therapist Programme in March 2022 and am now a member of the Canine Massage Guild.
I first looked in to canine massage when my (then 10 year old) Labrador, Tess, started struggling with lameness. I attended the Beginner’s Guide to Canine Massage one day course where the tutor found a number of strains and discussed the implications of the vet’s diagnosis of arthritis and hip dysplasia. I then booked in with a local Guild therapist who treated Tess and I saw first-hand the benefits of clinical canine massage.
As a clinical canine massage therapist, I help to rehabilitate soft tissue injuries, muscular strains and trigger points as well as myofascial pain all of which can present as lameness, limping or slowing down. I also help to manage chronic pain in those dogs with orthopaedic conditions such as Arthritis and Hip Dysplasia. To do this, I use Sports, Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage as well as direct myofascial release techniques as part of the Lenton Method™. Results can be seen in 1-3 sessions.
Cost
£35 per session.
Travel costs will be incurred for home visits. These will be discussed at the time of booking.

Alfie was very ‘stretchy’ the day after the treatments. I’ve noticed that his turns seem to have sped up when we’re playing/training. He just seems a bit more nimble.

Could not ask for a better student. Was calm and unfazed by the breed of the dog. The student took time at the first meeting to gain Kya’s trust. This helped Kya to settle.
After the treatment, Kya was stiff. I was told about this and so was expecting this. Three days after each treatment there was a noticeable improvement. This continued after the final treatment. Kya’s stiffness in her back legs has all but gone, which I am over the moon with.
