Workshops for owners and their dogs

Some of our Guild members are licensed workshop instructors, offering massage workshops for you and your dog. They have a minimum of 4 years in clinical practice and have further training with Canine Massage Therapy Centre to deliver these, so you can be sure of a knowledgeable instructor.

There are 2 workshops available

Beginners Guide to Canine Massage
Pre and post event massage (aimed at sporting dogs)

These workshops are run both in-person and online, depending on the instructor. Please contact the instructor directly for more details and booking.

Please note: These workshops are for self-interest only and demonstrate maintenance techniques to use solely with your dog(s). They do not train you to become a Canine Massage Therapist.

If you want to take your knowledge further and train to become a Therapist, then we recommend the Level 5 Clinical Canine Massage Practitioner Programme.

All Guild therapists have trained with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre (CMTC).

This in-depth 2 year course covers canine anatomy, physiology and a wide range of techniques, spanning 4 disciplines of massage:
• Swedish
• Deep Tissue
• Sports
• Myofascial Release

In addition, you will learn the Lenton Method®, which covers:
• Bodymapping
• Advanced palpation
• The 7 protocols
