About the therapist
Hi, Im Sarah; business owner of The Point Canine Massage, covering the Hampshire and surrounding areas. In 2023 I passed the 2 year Clinical Canine Massage Practioner course and I am very proud to become a member of the Canine Massage Guild. I have had first hand experience of owning a disabled dog, supporting him through an intensive rehabilitation programme following spinal surgery. After a long 6 month period he went from hind limb paralysis to a drunken wobble independent walking gait. A range of complimentary therapies and tools were used to achieve these amazing results for him; one of these being massage. This experience with my own dog has been my inspiration and I am very passionate to help to support and rehabilitate your canine friends back from injury or surgery, improve their performance or to provide comfort and improved general health and wellbeing, just as they deserve! Canine massage, and in particular the Lenton Method techniques, can achieve these benefits within 1-3 sessions.
I have also completed and hold certification in Level 3 Canine Hydrotherapy, achieved in 2019. I love to swim with my boy and see him enjoying a non weight bearing exercise.
I regularly have body work carried out on myself and understand the benefits massage therapy brings. From these experiences and studying the CCMP course it has provided me with a massive sense of awareness in just how similar our dogs are to us; they too suffer with soft tissue injuries, resulting pain and mobility issues! And they too will benefit from massage therapy and the Lenton Method®.
Being a Member of the Canine Massage Guild involves an extensive 2 year study programme which has provided me with an in depth knowledge and understanding of the canine anatomy and how the benefits of massage compliments the unique structure and processes of the dogs body. I cant wait to meet you and your fur companion/s.

Initial Consultation = £40 (lasting approx. 1.5 hours)
Follow up sessions = £38 (Max 1 hour)

(Owner sent video of Rocky in trot)………this was the next morning.
He’s not done this in a while! He was almost hard to keep up with! Before the sessions he was unable to trot, he is now moving at a faster pace and not just walking.
I was hoping massage treatment would make him more comfortable and mobile – both of which I feel have been achieved.
Sarah did a fantastic job at gaining Rocky’s trust, she wasn’t put of by his size / breed / how he looks. She was also able to identify where to treat Rocky & what needed attention once I relayed what I wanted form the sessions.
His compensation issues in his back whilst are still there are much, much better.

I thought that Sarah was very tuned into Lola and was very aware of any discomfort she was suffering, she was aware of her age and was very gentle and comforting to her, to which Lola responded very well. I feel that Sarah is knowledgeable, kind and has a great affinity with dogs.
Since the treatments Lola has improved every time, she is able to stretch properly, seems much more comfortable in herself and has more energy and is very active! When I stroke her back, her spine is no longer reactive as it was and she seems years younger!
