Hi I’m Rowen at Breeze Canine Massage
I aim to reduce your dog’s pain, improve their mobility and enhance their overall wellbeing and quality of life. Establishing trust and being compassionate with your dog is my highest priority. I believe every dog is unique, and I respect each one has different needs, therefore every massage treatment is tailored and no treatment session is the same.
Dogs suffer similar debilitating aches and pains as we do, through injury, illness, the effects of everyday life, stress and old age. Muscular injuries or living with lifelong orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis and hip dysplasia can have a detrimental impact on a dog’s quality of life, affecting both their mobility and temperament. Just like us, dogs can benefit profoundly from massage therapy. It is a powerful tool offering significant benefit in reducing chronic pain and improving mobility.
Clinical Canine Massage is an affordable treatment providing results you can see and your dog will feel within 1 – 3 sessions, with 95% of dogs responding positively, as shown in clinical trials and published in Vet Record.
Clinical canine massage is suitable for dogs of all ages, breeds and activity levels. I treat dogs with orthopaedic and neurological conditions, those recovering from injury or surgery, and working or competition dogs. Massage treatment can also be a breakthrough therapy for dogs suffering anxiety, grief or depression.
Rescue dogs hold a special place in my heart, and my volunteer work at a local rescue centre has provided me with valuable experience communicating with and handling dogs, particularly those that are nervous or fearful of strangers.
I regularly have massage treatments myself, as I have experienced the powerful impact massage has in relieving muscular tension and reducing pain when my body overcompensates when out of balance or injured.
The extensive 2 year Practitioner course along with being trained in the pioneering and clinically tested Lenton Method®, has equipped me with advanced clinical canine massage skills in Sports massage, Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Myofascial Release.
I am also trained to offer the specialist service of Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
I am fully insured and as a Canine Massage Guild member, I commit to a strict Code of Practice, and continuing professional training every year to further develop my skills.

First appointment including Consultation and Gait Analysis (approx 90 mins) £45
Follow Up and Maintenance Treatments (approx 60 mins) £40
I offer a mobile service treating dogs in their own homes, and operate from 2 bases:
Within a 15 mile radius of Wellington in Somerset,
Or within a 15 mile radius of Kingsbridge in South Devon
For visits outside these areas, a small additional travel charge may apply, and agreed at time of booking

Ajay was regularly skipping on both hind legs. He can be wary of new people, especially on his territory, but he responded very well to Rowen’s presence. She was excellent in handling Ajay, reading his mood and responding with changes in treatment when he was a bit negative. I have noticed a marked improvement in his gait over the treatment period. The occurrence of skipping has reduced and he manages a greater distance on our daily walk.

I didn’t want Casper to be on anti-inflammatories long term or on restricted exercise.
Casper is quite a nervous dog but he responded really well and was much more relaxed than I was expecting, and seemed to enjoy it. Rowen was brilliant with Casper, I’m sure they are now friends for life!
Since the massage sessions, Casper finds it much easier to jump on the sofa. He has more of a spring in his step, is freer in his movements and seems lighter somehow.

Penny is a rescue dog from abroad and we know little of her history.
I feel that Penny is depressed as she sometimes does not want to go out. She snaps at other dogs, and is sometimes grumpy and reactive towards my husband and daughter, and is reluctant to be touched by them.
I was a little sceptical about how massage could help but there’s been a huge transformation and it was very emotional to see the big improvement in her moods. She is more enthusiastic to go out, is less grumpy and has started to head rub our daughter and seems to trust her more. Even the doggie daycare owner has commented on how differently Penny interacts with her now.
