About the therapist
My name is Islay and I run Coppola Canine Massage based in Edinburgh, I offer home visits in Edinburgh, The Lothians, and Scottish borders. I passed the Canine massage practitioner programme with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre in 2024, am fully insured and a member of the Canine Massage Guild.
I have three Labradors – Maisie, Frankie & Nala. Maisie was diagnosed with arthritis at the age of 7, this started me on a mission to do anything I could to help Maisie live as comfortably as she could. My eyes were opened to the world of holistic therapies, with Maisie receiving regular treatments of both massage and physio the improvements I saw made me want to help other dogs benefit in the way that Maisie has.
Through massage I aspire to help your dog to live a happy and comfortable life, by helping increase their range of motion and reduce their levels of pain, this also impacts positively on your dog’s happiness and wellbeing. I provide a treatment tailored to your dog’s needs to help with the rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries and chronic pain management of orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis and hip dysplasia.
Cost
£35 per session, sessions last between 45-60 minutes, with the initial consultation lasting up to 90 minutes. There may be a charge for mileage, location dependent, this can be discussed at time of booking.

Islay was extremely professional. Islay handled Bruce exceptionally well, she spoke in soft voice, used slow and steady movement and reacted to my dog when he was looking for reassurance. Islay was also fully aware of the areas that may be more sensitive for Bruce due to his hip dysplasia. He was a very relaxed dog after his massage, and he found it easier to push up from the ground with his back legs.
