About the Therapist
I’m Sara, and my goal is to help you and your treasured dog continue living your healthiest, happiest lives together.
I completed the Canine Massage Therapy Centre’s (CMTC) intensive and externally-accredited two-year Clinical Canine Massage Diploma in January 2015, and have since undertaken further specialist training with CMTC including:
– Advanced Myofascial Release
– Facilitated Stretching for the Canine Patient
– Advanced Deep Tissue Techniques
– Further Ventral Aspect Techniques
– Manual Lymphatic Drainage
– Neuromuscular Facilitation (Advanced Trigger Point Techniques)
– Energy Work
– Skills Review workshops – Levels 1, 2 and 3 (maximum number of levels)
As well as specialising in remedial physical therapy for dogs experiencing pain, discomfort and/or reduced mobility associated with: orthopaedic conditions; post-surgery recovery, and; soft tissue injuries and restrictions, I also provide maintenance treatments for pet, working and sports dogs, to help ensure that they are in optimum physical condition to enjoy the lifestyles that they lead with their owners and can perform at their peak.
I provide a home visit service to clients in Cheltenham (Gloucestershire) and the surrounding area. Appointments are available on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
I started my canine career as a project dog handler for a rescue and rehoming centre, therefore I am used to sensitively assessing and handling a wide range of breeds and characters. I believe strongly in developing a relationship of trust with the dogs that I massage with the aim of making their treatments as stress-free as possible (for both dog and owner), whilst providing effective therapy that delivers the following benefits:

– Assisting rehabilitation of soft tissues damaged by injury, surgery or disease
