About the Therapist

Alison HaroldHi, my name is Ali, and I live in Chippenham, Wiltshire, with my husband and two collies, Olive and Izzy.
I have always had a deep love for dogs and have had lots of fun with my girls over the years, being involved in activities such as canicross, agility and man trailing.

My journey into clinical massage began when Olive reached middle age, and I felt she needed a bit of support to relieve stiffness after her runs. I have always enjoyed a massage myself, and a quick internet search showed that it was also a thing for dogs! However, Olive has never enjoyed being touched by other people so before I knew it I found myself signed onto a one day Beginner’s course with Natalie Lenton from the Canine Massage Therapy Centre! I was immediately hooked and went on to train professionally by completing the full two-year Clinical Canine Massage Practitioner Programme.

This rigorous course covers anatomy, physiology, and orthopaedic conditions, with training given in four massage disciplines (Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, and Deep Tissue Massage). It also includes training in the unique Lenton Method® of canine massage therapy.

Massage is suitable for almost every dog, be they young and active, recovering from injury or a golden oldie entering their twilight years.

My goal is simple: to help your dog live a pain-free, happy, and active life for as long as possible.

Appointments are held in your dog’s own home, where they are able to feel relaxed and comfortable. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your dog’s needs, please do get in touch.

Client Comments

Working with Ali has been absolutely wonderful. Her canine massage sessions made a remarkable difference in my 12 year old dog’s mobility and overall comfort. Ali is incredibly kind, warm, and patient, and all my dogs took to her straight away.

Lexi has definitely improved, she has now started to jump in the car and sofa, not waiting to be lifted. On walks she is now exploring more back to how she was pre-op. I would definitely recommend Canine Massage and Ali.

Sarah and Lexi

He’s more confident in approaching short flights of steps (3 steps up to lawn in back garden). Less stiffness after treatment — he has been rolling on his back again since treatment started (very relaxed & comfortable). Very happy with treatment and would definitely recommend.
