About the therapist
I’m Anna, and I run Novak Canine Massage, a mobile practice covering Nottinghamshire, Newark, Derby and Grantham.
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up with a German Shepherd cross who suffered from hip dysplasia and arthritis gave me an early understanding of how pain and orthopaedic conditions can affect a dog’s comfort and quality of life. As an adult, I became involved in dog sports including Agility, Hoopers and Competitive Obedience, which deepened my appreciation for the physical demands placed on our canine companions and the incredible effort they give to please us.
My interest in Clinical Canine Massage began through my own sporting dogs, as I looked for ways to support their comfort, mobility and wellbeing. After experiencing the benefits first hand, I trained with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre to become a Clinical Canine Massage Therapist so I could help other dogs enjoy the same positive results. I now work with a wide range of dogs, including pets, seniors, working and sporting dogs, and dogs with orthopaedic conditions, helping to rehabilitate soft tissue injuries, reduce pain, support muscular health and improve overall quality of life.

Anna worked with care, patience and understanding, letting Lily set the pace for her sessions. After having TPLO surgeries on both her hindlegs, Lily has issues with stiffness and overcompensation and Anna was able to help to restore her to much more comfortable movement, helping her to enjoy the things she loves.
