About the therapist
Hello, my name is Beth Meaden and I run Top Notch Canine along with my three canine companions: Henry the Labrador, Ruby the Rhodesian Ridgeback and Dot the Springer Spaniel.
Growing up on a local farm, I have always been animal orientated from a young age and have always had a special affinity with dogs. This led me to take animal and equine management in college specialising in animal behaviour and welfare as well as anatomy and physiology. After college I worked with horses for several years, during this time I had the opportunity to witness the positive effects complimentary therapies and especially massage had on the horse’s general wellbeing and performance. This inspired me to research clinical canine massage so I could combine my passions for dogs with improving their welfare and performance.
I have worked with animals most of my life and for the last 10 years in particular I have focussed on dogs. I possess extensive experience with a range of breeds and personalities from household pets to working gundogs. This means I have a wide expertise handling a variety of temperaments, from dogs that are nervous of strangers to very excitable dogs that struggle to settle and relax.
I completed my training with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre in 2022. I use a combination of Swedish massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release as well as the clinically trialled Lenton Method. I utilise and apply all my skills learnt to create individual treatment plans for each dog. This ensures the best results from rehabilitating soft tissue injuries to managing pain in relation to orthopaedic conditions or simply maintaining the general wellbeing of your dog.
I’m based in Swindon and offer home visits in Swindon and the surrounding areas. If you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to contact me.

Client Comments
Beth has an amazing ability to assess what is troubling my precious whippet, Louie; and provide appropriate treatment. She is also fabulous at making sure he (well that’s probably we) is at ease during the massage. Even though it must cause some discomfort, we trust her completely.

Beth has worked wonders with my ridgeback and terrier, both are rescue dogs so have some quirks but she’s taken this in her stride and really worked to make the dogs feel as comfortable as possible.
My terrier has mild luxating patellar and my ridgeback is generally tight and strained over his back, with regular treatment I have two new full of life, happy and most of all pain free dogs.

Beth was very attentive and visually aware of Major’s every move I knew she was confident around large animals and therefore Major was not a problem. Beth was confident and assertive from the start and reassured Major very well. Major really appeared to enjoy his massage and was asleep on Beth by the end of the 3rd session.
