Hello, my name is Claire Windust, I run my clinic Dogs In Motion Therapy from home in North Dorset where I provide a professional, friendly, and fully insured Clinical Massage service for dogs. I also cover local surrounding areas for those who are unable to travel to me.
I use Clinical Massage to assist dogs in managing a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues, issues such as muscular strains, trigger points, painful and stiff joints that can be associated with orthopaedic conditions like arthritis.
As well as improving your dogs mobility, Clinical Massage also has a soothing effect which can be beneficial to those dogs that suffer with anxiety.
Being a non-invasive holistic therapy means that Clinical Canine Massage is suitable for just about any dog, be that your most loved pet, agility, show, or athletic/sports dog.
I have always had a great passion for animals in particular dogs and horses. Having always had dogs I am currently owned by two Beagles. I decided that I wanted to become a Canine Massage Therapist after witnessing first hand the huge beneficial impacts that Clinical Massage had on my own dog’s rehabilitation after he sustained a muscular injury.
I have trained with Natalie Lenton’s Canine Massage Therapy Centre completing the Clinical Canine Massage Practitioner Course, an intensive and comprehensive 2 year course, which encompasses in depth: anatomy and physiology, orthopaedic conditions, biomechanics and the effects of neurological conditions.
I am also registered and proud to be a member of the Canine Massage Guild, a professional body for Clinical Canine Massage Therapists that promotes high standards, safe practice, and ongoing professional development.
I work only with veterinary consent, not only is this a legal requirement but enables me to give the best possible care I can to your dog.

Wilson, 12.5 year old retired working dog had his 1st session with Claire mid October 2021. He has a problem elbow and opposite hip so struggles with getting into the car as well as being much slower than the other dogs. He has enjoyed every session. Claire can hardly put the mat down before he’s settled himself on his side ready for the massage, she has taken time and care to get to know him making his treatment more relaxing and thus even more beneficial.
Claire has identified his problem areas and works gently with him to ease these.
He benefits greatly each time she sees him and is visibly much more comfortable and flexible.
He will continue with his appointments as it improves his quality of life greatly.
