About the therapist
My name is Ellie Priday and I own ESP Canine and Equine Massage Therapy. I am a fully qualified Canine and Equine Massage Therapist with a degree in BSc (Hons) Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation as well as successfully completing the 2 year Clinical Canine Massage Therapy Program with the Canine Massage Guild.
I have owned dogs for as long as I can remember, including Border Collie’s, Spaniels, Terriers and Dachshunds. I have competed in agility for many years and have always worked in environments with dogs, this has given me experience working with dogs in rescue, dogs with behavioural needs and those in rehabilitation from injuries.
I have a treatment room in my house in Pencoed, South Wales, but also work mobile and happy to do home visits if your dog is more relaxed at your home.

As a vet myself, I have seen the benefits of Clinical Canine Massage which is why I chose this method of treatment for my dog Daisy, as an old dog she can get sore and quite stiff. Daisy really enjoys her massage treatments. Ellie is so patient with her and recognises when to give Daisy a break or change positions to make her more comfortable. Ellie is great at reading Daisy’s body language detecting where she is sore through muscle injuries. Daisy is now more willing to jump onto chairs and isn’t struggling, her behaviour has also improved significantly.
I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the dogs’ agility performance since they started receiving regular massages from Ellie. Cop especially has been running so much better in recent months since she started working on him. Millie gets massage treatments regularly for her Luxating Patella. Millie is quite an anxious dog but I was pleasantly surprised how well she responded to massage. Millie is always really pleased to see Ellie, this says a lot as she isn’t fond of people. Millie’s knee has not luxated once since her first massage treatment over six months ago and she seems much happier and more flexible now. Millie has regular massage treatments to keep her happy and mobile.
