About the Therapist
Hello, my name is Emma and I am a fully trained and insured Clinical Canine Massage Therapist providing home visits to dogs in Saint Neots and parts of Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Bedfordshire.
My initial interest in canine massage developed through my combined love of dogs and my enjoyment of hiking and running. As the owner of a nervous and reactive Border Terrier, I was keen to understand whether pain could be influencing Herbie’s behaviour. I understood from my own experience that my mood and performance could be greatly improved though physical therapy such as sports massage, and wondered if I could do anything to help Herbie. After attending a beginners’ course in canine massage with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre, I knew that canine massage was the vocation for me, and immediately applied for the two-year Canine Massage Practitioner Programme.
I visit your dog in your home, and combine the non-invasive disciplines of Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage and myofascial release to offer support to orthopaedic conditions, rehabilitation from soft tissue injury, post operative recovery, and assistance in improving sporting performance. I am also able to offer manual lymphatic drainage for those dogs who may require it.
With consent from your vet, I will conduct a full assessment followed by one to three treatment sessions specifically targeting your dog’s needs, providing feedback to you and your vet. Additionally, I am a pet first aider, I keep up to date with continuous professional development, and I am currently completing a level 4 qualification in canine welfare and behaviour.
Costs
£45 per treatment. The first session will be approximately 90 minutes in duration, and subsequent sessions a maximum of 60 minutes. Sessions of manual lymphatic drainage are £65. Home visits greater than a 20-mile distance from Saint Neots may incur a small travelling fee that will be discussed up front.

Charlie, my 14-year-old Staffy cross Jack Russell Terrier, was showing signs of reduced mobility and reluctance to be touched. Emma handled Charlie very well – she immediately seemed to be in tune with him. After three weekly massage sessions, Charlie finds the stairs easier and is bouncing up them. He also seems more responsive to my touch, rather than moving away from it.

Leia, my 4-year-old Dalmatian cross Husky, was displaying intermittent right hind limb lameness and had been diagnosed with possible cruciate ligament damage. Emma did an amazing job of putting Leia at ease. Leia has had no lameness at all after starting the massage sessions, and is back running in harness and off lead with no problems whatsoever.
