About therapist

Hayley Hilder photoMy name is Hayley, and I have grown up with dogs, dogs have always been a central part of my life, not only as companions but as active partners. I currently share my life with five Cocker Spaniels, and I train with them in agility. Through training, and everyday life, I have developed a strong appreciation for canine movement, performance, and wellbeing.

My interest in massage therapy grew following a personal experience when my daughter suffered an injury. During her recovery, I witnessed first-hand the positive impact that massage had on her comfort, mobility and overall wellbeing. Seeing how effective massage therapy could be, it inspired me to explore massage further, particularly in a canine context where animals are unable to verbalise pain.

This led me to the canine massage therapy course, which proved to be one of the best decisions of my life. It has been incredibly rewarding, giving me practical, evidence based skills to directly support dogs experiencing pain, injury, or reduced mobility.

I am based in Bristol and cover Bristol and the surrounding areas, bringing professional treatments to your dog in the comfort of their own home.

Client comments

Frank loved his massage sessions so much, he was attempting to get on Hayley’s lap when she had finished, he appeared to be hoping for another session.
Frank is quite an anxious dog and I’m sure the massages helped reduce his anxiety and helped him to relax. He was almost asleep by the end of the session.

It seemed like Reina had implicit trust in Hayley, and it was amazing to watch their interaction. She was very empathetic and responsive to Reinas needs and communication, stopping or pausing when Reina showed she was uncomfortable. Hayley was very kind, patient and gentle. Reina really settled into and enjoyed her sessions with Hayley.
Reina has definitely been in less pain and discomfort. She has been more playful with other dogs. I would definitely recommend canine massage to others.
