About the Therapist
I am Helen and proud owner of Meadowside Clinical Canine Massage.
I currently live with my 3 dogs Dusty, Myrtle and Little Ted. Dusty and Myrtle are mother and daughter as a bred a litter 3 years ago and Ted is my newest edition, and he is a Working Cocker Spaniel.
I compete at agility and Dusty is at Grade 7 which is the highest level and championship level, and Myrtle is grade 4 and just at the start of her career. Ted is too young to compete, so he is enjoying puppy training and games.
I have always been surrounded by lots of dogs and started training our pet Cocker Spaniel at ages 10 and got my first collie at the age of 13 which I competed in obedience with.
Fast forward a few years and I became addicted to agility and wanted to learn now to keep my dogs in peak fitness.
I got a job at Langford Veterinary Referral Hospital, which the teaching hospital for the University of Bristol Veterinary students. I worked for 3 years in the Rehab Centre and set about learning all I could about dog fitness and wellbeing. I got a huge amount of knowledge and experience working alongside lots of very talented Vets, Physiotherapists and Hydrotherapist. But I still wanted to learn more, to increase my knowledge and experience.
Therefore, I Started on the journey to become a Canine Massage Practitioner, with Natalie Lenton and the Canine Massage Therapy Centre, and here I am today living the dream working to rehabilitate dogs and their injuries.
