About the therapist
Hello I’m Julie Shee, I run Manibus Canine Clinical Massage, I am based in North East Cornwall close to Port Issac. I completed my training on the Clinical Canine Massage Practitioner programme in February 2022 after 2 years of study with Natalie Lenton under The Canine Therapy Centre.
I first discovered Canine massage when my own dog injured himself leaving him very lame, unable to take NSAIDS I had feared that his days of enjoying long walks were over, but I took him to see a Guild Therapist and after 3 sessions his improvement was remarkable, he returned to his previous active fun loving self. It is this first hand insight into this therapy that inspired me to become a Therapist myself so that I can go on to help other dogs.
By using the disciplines of Swedish, Sports and Deep Tissue massage alongside Myofascial release and the Clinically Trialled Lenton Method™ treatments are tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Olive is so much freer in her movement, she had been very stiff getting up after long periods of rest following TPLO surgery, she is now able to jump on and off of the sofa easily and no longer has intermittent lameness in her back leg.

Great improvement seen! Previously Murphy stood leaning on his right front leg following an accident, after treatment he is now standing more upright and seems a lot more comfortable. It has been commented on at his Hydrotherapy sessions that his range of movement in his front and back legs has increased.
