About the Therapist
My name is Katherine and I am proud member of the Canine Massage guild UK and the owner of Kanine Konnections based in Carnoustie, in the beautiful north east of Scotland. Inspired to train as a clinical canine massage therapist by my big dog Duke and enabled by my little Podenco Andaluz, Ella I have completed the 2 year practitioner training programme under Natalie Lenton and her team. Through that course I trained extensively in canine anatomy and physiology, covering gait and posture analysis, common pathologies and the holistic use of 4 disciplines of massage including sports, Swedish, deep tissue and myofascial release including the Lenton method™
This premier therapy works on the body as a whole addressing muscular injuries and the areas of overcompensation that occur, increasing mobility and zest for life as well as improving a dogs ability to recover from injury or manage life-long orthopaedic conditions. Helping to enhance and address performance of sporting and working dogs, allowing pet dogs to continue enjoying their walks and activities. Clinical canine massage can produce amazing results for dogs living with conditions such as arthritis, hip or elbow dysplasia and cruciate ligament damage, working by reducing tension and addressing overcompensation.
I come from a corporate background and until a few years ago was a human resource advisor. I now work with all things dog and provide walking and co-own a canine welfare centre offering bespoke training services, classes, workshops and seminars as well as on site grooming facilities 7 days a week. I primarily travel to your home but will be opening a clinic at our purpose fitted wellbeing centre later in 2022. I live and work in the seaside town of Carnoustie with my husband and 2 rescue hounds.

Manny is reactive and sound sensitive, during his sessions with Katherine he was so relaxed he totally calmed down and didn’t react to noise and movement triggers that would normally have him barking and rushing about. I have asked Katherine to continue to treat Manny regularly so we can maintain this and enhance his quality of life.

Katherine managed Luath, who is a large and strong willed dog, very well, with patience and professionalism. Since her treatments Luath has been more energetic, able to walk longer and we have even been able to take her hill walking again! I would recommend Katherine and have her continue to work with Luath to maintain this improvement.
