About the therapist
My name is Kirsti Deacon-Smith and I run K9 Care & Repair Massage Therapy in South Devon. I live by the coast in Paignton, Devon with my two rescue dogs Cookie and Taco.
I am dedicated to improving the well-being of dogs through clinical canine massage therapy and I am passionate about finding solutions for and representing dogs as non-verbal clients. The massage therapy skills that I have been taught on the two-year clinical canine massage therapy practitioner course help to break the pain cycle for the dogs allowing them to live their best lives in the best way.
Clinical Canine Massage is an affordable treatment providing results you can see and your dog will feel within 1 – 3 sessions, with 95% of dogs responding positively as shown in clinical trials.
It benefits dogs of all ages from puppies to senior dogs, all breeds and all activity levels.
I offer a professional and compassionate service which helps to alleviate pain, improve flexibility, mobility and performance. I work with rehabilitation of muscular and soft tissue injuries and pain management for orthopaedic conditions.

Kirsti handled our whippet Puzzle brilliantly. Puzzle can be very anxious but during every session, Kirsti put Puzzle at ease before starting treatment making sure she was comfortable and ready. The results have been unexpected and amazing. Puzzle now walks better, sleeps better and is more confident in herself.

Gilbert loves his massages with Kirsti and is happy to relax for the entire session – more if he was given the chance! I trust Kirsti completely handling Gilbert – she asked a lot of questions about his condition and made sure that she understood his diagnosis before starting massage therapy.
Gilbert now has increased sensitivity in his hind limbs which was lacking before. His mobility is better and his condition is improving no end. We are so happy with the results and so happy to of found Kirsti and massage therapy.
