About the Therapist
My name is Mair Franklin, I’m the owner of Seeka K9 Massage and my clinic is located in Bearwood, which borders the South side of Birmingham in The West Midlands.
I first became interested in the wonderful benefits associated with Massage after experiencing a very painful foot injury which was successfully resolved through a course of Massage treatment. When one of my dogs developed intermittent lameness, I was naturally curious to see if Massage Therapy could benefit him too. My experience of the efficacy of Massage Therapy both for myself and my dogs led me into a career change, I’d wanted to work with dogs for many years so joining the two year training programme to become a Clinical Canine Massage Therapist made perfect sense.

I took Poppy (15yr cocker spaniel) to see Mair for an assessment and massage as she was starting to get wobbly on her back legs. Poppy was very apprehensive to begin with but by the second session, she allowed Mair to do some deeper massage and body work. I really appreciated that Mair went at Poppy’s pace and didn’t force her to do anything she wasn’t entirely happy with. It was lovely to watch Mair at work and to learn more about K9 Massage. I would highly recommend Mair – she has a kind and gentle approach as well as being a very skilled and knowledgeable practitioner.
