About the therapist
My name is Megan Burns and I run Code K9 Massage in Guernsey, Channel Islands.
I currently have two Border Collies, Code and Veto, and I’ve been involved in agility and hoopers for the past 15 years, both competing and teaching others.
I have a degree in Advertising and have worked in marketing, graphic design and web design, but dogs have always been my true passion.
Through my involvement in dog sports, I have regularly travelled to see a Canine Massage Therapist whenever possible, and I was always amazed by the difference massage would make. It wasn’t until my dog, Code, suffered an injury resulting in two Grade 2 muscle strains that I realised how valuable it would be for all dogs to have regular treatments available on island – without needing to catch the ferry.
That experience led me to investigate the Canine Massage Practitioner Programme and I haven’t looked back since.
Having qualified at the start of 2026, I work with dogs of all ages and breeds to support recovery, improve movement, and enhance performance – always with comfort, mobility, and wellbeing as the priority.
