About the Therapist
I have 20 years experience working with dogs of all different breeds and temperaments as a Qualified Dog Groomer (FurryDogmotherHuyton). I am always drawn to their health and wellbeing and welcomed the opportunity to progress into the role of Clinical Canine Massage Therapist.
I was attracted to this course because during a seminar I watched dogs moving and it illustrated orthopaedic conditions, muscular health issues and what causes a dog to move the way they do, sometimes it’s different to the way they usually move. Limping is probably the most obvious sign something maybe wrong but there can also be very subtle changes like skin twitching or carrying a leg. Changes in their behaviour i.e. why they lick, itch, twitch or become reactive. Coat changes. All these things I experience daily handling dogs I groom.
After two years of intensive training I can now see the benefits with some of the dogs I am treating and so can the owners.

We had noticed that Bruno was increasingly less mobile over the last 2 years or so, having consulted the Vet in connection with this he has been on pain killers and a regular Librella injection, the affect of which was becoming less beneficial. To have access to this type of ‘drug free’ treatment was very appealing and we were very keen to try it and see if it helped him with his mobility. Tracy has been fantastic with Bruno, she has treated him as her own and always gave him small breaks when she felt he needed them not pushing him too quickly. We have noticed a real difference with Bruno, he doesn’t seem as stiff and we have increased the time between his Librella injections which is a great thing. He is a relatively old dog so we aren’t expecting miracles but we have noticed a real improvement with him which is amazing to see.

I was very hopeful about Canine Massage Therapy. Ginger settled really well into the treatment. She was treated very sympathetically and all treatment was given kindly and at Ginger’s pace. Following 3 Clinical Canine Massage Therapy Sessions, Ginger completed a two mile walk without any issues. Ginger had her health check with her vet a few weeks following completion of the treatments and the vet gave her a clean bill of health (apart from the arthritis) and there are no signs of lameness or limping.

Tracy was exceptionally good with my dogs at all times. Yasmin is especially sensitive but she gave her time to settle and never pushed her. She is very calm around the dogs and takes time to get to know them. Following 3 treatments Yasmin was no longer limping and generally seemed to be moving more freely and relaxing much better at home.
